Evade the Horde of Zombies With The Best Zombie Board Games in 2016
Board games are a lot of fun to play with your family and friends, I remember playing Monopoly growing up, and I also remember being banned from being the bank because I always ended up with the most money and property at the end of the game, and always got accused of stealing from the bank and cheating, but was never caught in the act.
Times have changed since my days of being a corrupt banker when playing monopoly, and there are more options to choose from when buying board games. The rise in popularity of zombie movies and TV shows has led to the creation of some interesting zombie themed board games that are a lot of fun to play, some of the top zombie board games of 2016 are:
#5 Dead Panic
This game, created by Fireside is designed for players ages 13 and up, and can be played by 2-6 players. You and your family or friends take on the role of any of the eight characters that are trying to survive the zombie apocalypse, the characters are in a cabin in the middle of the board, and the players use cards to call for help, or get weapons to use against the zombies. If a character dies while trying to escape, they return to the game as a zombie, and have a different set of cards and rules to follow. The game is very similar to Castle Panic, another game from Fireside; fans of Castle Panic will definitely love Dead Panic.
#4 Zombies!!! 2nd edition
Created by Twilight Games, Zombies!!! Can be played with 2-6 players, ages 12 and above. Players have to evade the horde of zombies advancing towards them as they try to be the first player to make it to the heliport, and get away from danger. It is a very easy game to learn, and is fun for the whole family.
Zombicide is manufactured by Guillotine, and can be played by 1-6 players from ages 13 and up. The game can take anywhere from 20 minutes to three hours to finish, depending on your skill level, the aim is to control survivors in a zombie infested city, and turn them into hunters that destroy zombies. It is a very fun and easy game to play solo or as a team, and comes with expansion packs to keep the game going even longer.
In this post apocalyptic game created by GreenBrier, players start in a fallout shelter, and have to venture out in search of food, water, weapons, and other things they need to survive, which can lead them to several base locations. Each player gets to form their own teams/squads, to protect their bases from the undead that are all over the place. It can be played by 1-4 players, from ages 12 and up.
#1 Last Night on Earth
Last Night on Earth from Flying Frog Productions is set in the quiet town of Woodinvale, which is overrun with zombies looking to satisfy their hunger with some human flesh. The game gives players the opportunity to play as heroes that are trying to survive the zombie invasion, or as zombies, looking for some human flesh. This is the best zombie board game in 2016, and it can be played by 2-6 players, from ages 12 and up.
